Mass-DAC, under contract with the Bureau of Health Care Safety and Quality in the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, has created annual reports summarizing the quality of care provided by all the Commonwealth of Massachusetts state licensed cardiac surgery programs since 2002 and angioplasty programs since 2003.
Mass-DAC does not publically report the results of the risk adjustment models for cardiac surgeons or PCI operators. Findings from these analyses are reviewed by a sub-committee of surgeons for the cardiac surgery cohort and a sub-committee of interventionalists for the PCI cohort.
