The purpose of this committee is to review cardiac surgery patient-specific data elements and corresponding data documentation submitted by hospitals to Mass-DAC in order to determine validity of coding. This committee is comprised, annually, of surgeons and data managers who graciously volunteer and are listed at the end of each annual report.
